In the World

Jesus' last words to His disciples just before He ascended into heaven are recorded in Acts 1:8: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. In obedience to His great commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19), PCBC has a missions strategy that encompasses home missions and foreign missions.

Recognizing that the world has come to our doorstep, in August 2014 we completed our Upper Room, a space designed for worship by the ethnic churches we are planting through the leadership of a Korean pastor, a Japanese pastor, and a Hispanic pastor. We also partner with New Destiny Church, an African-American church that meets in the YMCA across the street and that often becomes the church home for the Norcross HS athletes we help reach. To learn more about our outreach to nearby public school children and youth, apartment dwellers, and the poor, click here. Our home missions strategy also supports the work of the Arabic First Baptist Church in Lilburn, the Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Palmetto, Georgia, Persecuted Church refugee care, and a rural church in Hungry Horse, Montana.

Our foreign missions strategy focuses on children, church planting/leadership development, and the Persecuted Church. We minister to Kenyan orphans through Mully Children's Family and to Romanian orphans and Roma gypsies through Livada Orphan Care. We support church planting in Bangladesh through a family serving with the IMB. We help develop leaders for the persecuted Persian church through Elam Ministries and leaders for the church around the world through Haggai Institute, Call2All, and In-Step.
